Dear Stakeholders:
The intent of this correspondence is to outline the DAA’s current plan of action regarding the 2012 Fair.
1.It is the intent of the DAA’s board of directors to seek a contractor to assist in the production of the 2012 Fair. The following steps are being taken.
October 13, 2011: DAA Finance Committee will review the proposed Letter of Intent. (Prepared by Calif. Div. of Fairs & Expo staff)
October 19, 2011: DAA board will review Letter of Intent and take possible action regarding letter of intent.
October 20, 2011: If letter of intent is ratified, DAA will publish Letter of Intent in the local paper.
October 28, 2011: Deadline to request a “Request for Proposal”.
November 7, 2011: Request for Proposal is sent to all parties who responded. (RFP prepared by Calif. Div. of Fairs & Expositions)
December 7, 2011: Request for Proposal due to the Fair office.
December 15, 2011: Request for proposal awarded.
January 3, 2012: Contract enacted.
