John Phillip Boeding “Jack” October 8, 1938- September 14, 2011 Services Today at 3pm

Angels Camp, CA...John Phillip Boeding (Jack to all who knew him in California and John to all who knew him in Kansas) was born October 8, 1938, to August and Paula Boeding in Seneca, Kansas. Jack entered into rest on September 14, 2011. Jack was the youngest of eleven children, nine boys and two girls. Jack attended Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School and he entered the navy upon graduation from high school. He moved to California and lived in the Los Angeles area after leaving the navy. He settled in Angels Camp in 1968 where he managed the Blue Lake Springs Golf Course and then later sold real estate....

Jack made his mark as a salesman and an entrepreneur, selling both real estate and insurance most of his life. He was very involved in the community in both Seneca and Angels Camp. Jack served on the City Council in Angels Camp from 1974 to 1978. During this time he owned Gold Country Real Estate. He moved back to his home town of Seneca, Kansas in 1981. While in Seneca, Jack owned several businesses all while continuing to sell insurance and real estate.

Jack returned to California in 2000 and was quickly engaged in the community. He was a director of the Chamber of Commerce from 2004 to present and served as the President of the Chamber of Commerce in 2007 and 2008. He again was elected to the City Council in 2008 and most recently was serving as the Mayor of Angels Camp. Jack also served on the Friends of the Fair Board.

Jack was an avid fisherman and sports enthusiast. He especially loved rooting for his grandchildren no matter in which sport they were competing.

Jack is survived by his five children; Michael living in San Antonio, Texas, Wendee living in Overland Park, Kansas, Jaemie living in Murphys, California, Brandee living in Overland Park, Kansas and Weston living in Los Banos, California. Jack is also survived by his nine grandchildren, Thomas, Chelsee, Rachel, Callie, Ethan, Ellena, Lillee, Brennan and Hollee.
