39 Year Old Albany Man Drowns at Pinecrest Lake
Pinecrest, CA...Monday at around 9:24 am, Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call regarding a possible drowning at Pinecrest Lake. Emergency Medical and Sheriff’s personnel responded and located 39 year old Peng Yue of Albany CA. Yue had been fishing with his three children and an adult friend when he decided to swim in the lake. He was last seen by his friend 100 to 200 yards away from a rock island where their boat was beached but did not appear to be in any distress....
A short time later Yue was pulled out of the water by several boaters who began administering CPR. He was brought to the dock where EMS personnel continued CPR with out success. Yue was pronounced dead at 10:16 am. An autopsy determined the cause of death to be asphyxia due to drowning.
