First Congregational Church to Honor 9/11
On Sunday, September 11, during and after the 10 a.m. worship service, the First Congregational Church of Murphys will focus on our response as a faith community to the tenth anniversary of the attacks on 9/11/01. While acknowledging the impact of that event, we also will celebrate three new beginnings: our Rally Day, which marks the start of another Sunday School year; our Choir returning from its summer break; and the commissioning of the Pastor Search Committee.....
After worship we will enjoy a root beer float social, and then plant two Peace Poles while ringing the Peace Bell. We are located at the corner of Church and Algiers, and have lots of parking. Come join with the church that believes "God is still speaking". For more information call 728.3141.
