Older Adult Outreach & Engagement Program Volunteer Training
Sonora, CA...Do you enjoy reading, going to see movies and plays, working puzzles, playing games, or creating arts and crafts? Would you be interested in sharing these activities with isolated older adults? Can you spare just one hour a week? Perhaps you’d be interested in helping older adults by providing rides to doctor’s appointments, grocery stores, and more. Transportation is a serious problem for this population and you can make a significant difference by providing this much needed service....
If this volunteer opportunity has caught your attention, consider becoming a volunteer working with the Older Adult Outreach and Engagement Program. The Program partners with older adults for the soul purpose of keeping them safe at home. All services are free to any older adult residing in Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties regardless of ethnicity, religion, or income.
The next volunteer training will be held Saturday, September 17th from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm at the Mother Lode Office of Catholic Charities, 14855 Mono Way, Suite 104, in East Sonora.
