Fresh Fridays Moving (Tonight) Next Week~by Patrick Works
Utica Park, Angels Camp, CA.....This week's Fresh Fridays was more than the usual "get there early or parking will be tricky" event...as it was Family Fun from 5PM until dusk. Games, activities, music, and just about every family with kids in the county were all there for Fresh Fridays tonight. This season has been an incredibly bountiful one for growers throughout Northern California, and the bounty was presented for sale in Utica Park.......

This reporter has a penchant for hot peppers, and my kids greeted me when I arrived "Daddy!...you have to see the peppers!"
Indeed there were Serranos, Jalepenos, Hungarians, Habaneros, and more other varieties than I could name (I should have taken notes...but I got pictures!).
All the other vegetables were in similar diverse abundance. If you were looking for heirloom tomatoes; they were there. If you were looking for squash; they were there.
Whatever you were looking for; it was there. Prices you can't beat and quality you cannot believe; Fresh Fridays will make your plate and make your mouth water for more.
Where is Fresh Fridays? Every week except next week it's at Utica Park on Friday from 5PM until Dusk. Next week the answer changes, as Fresh Fridays has to vacate
Utica Park and make way for the annual Firemens' Fun Day. FRESH FRIDAYS WILL BE LOCATED AT TRYON PARK NEXT WEEK.
For those who don't know Tryon Park by name, it's the park across from Angels Camp Fire Station. That is the same park that includes the old Angels Camp public swimming pool.
There's plenty of parking, shade, grass, and you can even stick your feet in the creek to cool off on a summer afternoon while you do shopping and meet your friends at the market.
TO GET TO TRYON PARK drive through downtown Angels Camp and proceed left as used to be done to get to Murphys. Please take it easy as it'll be busy and cars will be pulling in and out.
Just after the firehouse on your right, look for the park on your left. Parking is available from just after the turn at the intersection and quite a way up the hill...but please don't hinder access to the
firehouse; that would be silly and result in a tow. (Yikes!)
This reporter and his family just LOVE Tryon Park. We hope Fresh Fridays locating there next week won't spoil our little secret picnic spot.
See you there next week!
