Its Family Night again at Fresh Fridays, Angels Camp Certified Farmers Market! Family Night at the market is a special night with additional entertainment, games and food choices for the whole family. This week the market will offer DJ music to keep everyone entertained, a balloonist to delight with crazy creations, face-painting and the popular Scavenger Hunt where kids will be given a list of foods to find and sample and redeem for a prize. a nutritional tour of the market will be offered to families by The Resource Connections resident Nutritionist who will help to educate visitors as to the health and economical benefits of shopping the market. Lots or recipes and preparation ideas will be shared as well. The tour meets at the market information booth at 6pm and includes meeting local farmers and producers and tasting seasonal produce and foods. ....
The featured Local Winery this week is family owned and operated, Ironstone Winery who is happy to support Family Night at the Market. They will be pouring tastings of their fan favorite's and Angels Camp Business Association will be selling their wines by the glass.
Fresh Fridays is held every Friday evening in Utica Park in the historic downtown district of Angels Camp just off Main Street. The market begins at 5pm and closes at Dusk. Visitors to the market enjoy an abundance of locally grown fresh certified produce with a variety of seasonal fruits, vegetables and nuts. Plenty of food and dining choices are available from local restaurants and catering companies including kids hot dogs and pizzas. You will also find plenty of baked goods, specialty foods, desserts, olive oil, bbq sauces and seasonings, jams, honey and even ice-cream.
Come on out to the market this Friday, bring the family and enjoy the benefits of this weekly event! Be entertained, visit with friends and neighbors, sample wine from local wineries and buy fresh and support local.
