Fireman's Fun Day Coming Up on August 27th!
Angels Camp, CA....Fireman's Fun Day will be held at Utica Park in Angels Camp on Saturday, August 27th from 10 AM until 6 PM. Let a fireman fix your dinner and get a free ride on his fire truck! Fireman's Fun Day has united the community for many years with this popular event that draws both residents and visitors while offering great visibility for Angels Camp merchants and the community. Sponsors include Middleton's, Nash Chevron, and Turner's Wild West.....
AC Fire fighters: Tom Starks, Will Buis; future fire fighters: Brandon Butler-Starks, Draven Butler-Starks, Tiernan Collom, and Griffin Butler-Starks.
The raffle, donations and dinner ticket purchases help raise money to buy essential firefighting equipment to keep your fire department best prepared to serve the city, state CSFA insurance, training, and a scholarship for one student entering into the field of emergency services. Last years recipient of the scholarship was Michaela Brown.
Fare includes the delicious and traditional BBQ in-the-barrel tri-tip and chicken, spaghetti, garlic bread and salad dinner. Free fire-truck rides will be offered by City of Angels Camp Fire Department. The Fun Day includes games, a bounce house, a frog jump, bingo, horseshoes, and a disk jockey with continuous music, the Community Band performance and a Fun Day raffle of great gifts. Tickets: Adults $15, Children $7 (under 12), raffle tickets 2 for $1. Pre-sale tickets are available before August 26 (adults $12, children $6), at ACFD and sponsors.
Free game booths (appropriate for children pre-school age through high school), are available with a refundable deposit and certificate of insurance. Booth holders will be set up by 9:30 AM and open until 6 PM, followed by clean-up, for the refund. Applications for the booths are available at Angels Camp Fire Department downtown on Vallecito Road.
