Artist Helps Local Non Profit!
Dozens of small and not so small oil paintings by artist George Allen Durkee will be offered at The Center for Creativity and Community gallery, 23 W. St. Charles (Hwy 49) in San Andreas on Friday and Saturday, August 5th & 6th, from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. “I’m selling ‘em cheap and giving half the profit to The Center,” Durkee said. “My studio is so full I can hardly get in there any more, so I’m selling them off, some for as little as $50.” ....
George Allen Durkee, co owner of The Art Gallery in Murphys, is a San Francisco street artist turned Northern California landscape painter. He has been a contributing writer for The Artist’s Magazine and American Artist and is author of Expressive Oil Painting - An Open Air Approach to Creative Landscapes (North Light 2009) as well as two instructional videos.
