August 5, 2011 - First Fridays in the Park - Swing Gitane, a band that draws its inspiration from the early to middle 20th century swing music, will provide the musical entertainment when the Community Club presents First Friday in the Park beginning at 5:30 p.m. The group’s repertoire includes French musette and gypsy styles as well as American, Latin and cowboy jazz standards. Val du Vino Winery will offer a smoked pork loin dinner at $8 person. Val du Vino wines and other beverages will be available to purchase. There is no admission charge.

August 6, 2011 – Vines & Hoses Fundraiser for the Murphys Volunteer Fire Department at Twisted Oak Winery – Luau Style Dinner, Live Music, Auctions and More. From 7:00 pm until we all fall asleep. Reservations are available at the Murphys Fire Station or online at www.vinesandhoses2011.eventbrite.com . Advanced ticket sales only, $50 per person or $400 for a table for ten…..call 209-728-3864 for more information. The Department is raising funds and soliciting donations to provide our volunteer fire fighters with much needed equipment to protect them and our community.

August 6, 2011 - Live Music at Brice Station - The Tour Guides will be at Bryce Station/Quyle Kilns in their terrific venue on the top of the hill from 7-10 pm. Bring your chairs and snacks but plan on purchasing your wine on site.

August 6, 2011 - Sequoia at the Frog's Tooth Tasting Room - Join them for live music from 1 to 5 pm.

August 9, 2011 - Lecture Series at the Douglas Flat Community Center / Pioneer Schoolhouse - Lectures begin at 7 pm but we'll be open at 6 and we encourage you to come down early with a picnic and enjoy the grounds. Fees are $10 per lecture (students are free) and seating is limited so please contact Willi @ 728-9842 or Deanna @ 728-2086 to reserve your spot. This evening's lecture will feature Rae Davis on 19th century medicine (graphic) and Barbara Murray on 19th century women's clothing.

The sons appeal to the servant Scapin for help, but with disastrous consequences. Scapin's antics create more confusion, mistaken identity, rancor...and hilarity. August 13, 2011 - Ebbetts Pass Soccer League Fundraiser - Come join us for a great afternoon at Feeney Park, and see how beautiful the park is looking this summer! Be sure to take a look at the new amphitheater and rest rooms we have completed using state Proposition 40 funds. The fun starts at 3 and runs through 7 PM. Tri-tip dinners in a basket will be sold for $10 for adults and $5 for kids. Music by The Tour Guides will enliven the afternoon. There'll be a raffle and prizes for the kids signing up for EPYSL.
