Entertainment Extravaganza at the Angels Camp Certified Farmers Market!!
The next two weeks at the Angels Camp Farmers Market are sure to get you on your feet singing and dancing. This Friday on July 1st, you wont want to miss the beautiful sounds of Music by Maria. Maria sings old time classic blues from the 40's and 50's. Chatom Vineyards is the features winery and will be on hand pouring glasses of wine for taste and for sale. Enjoy a glass of local wine and music and be sure and join Chef Ron from Yankee Hill Cooking School on his Chef Tour of the Market at 6pm. Chef Ron will take you on a culinary tasting tour of the market, introduce you to local farmers and talk food and recipes. ....
July 8th, the market includes a Music Extravaganza with a whole lineup of entertainment provided by Angels Camp Mercantile. Come karaoke, swing dance and enjoy the live band. The featured wine of the night is local favorite Twisted Oak Winery! Owner Jeff Stai, will be pouring so be sure and come by and say hello. Just follow the rubber chickens!
Fresh Fridays is held every Friday evening in Shady Utica Park in the historic downtown district of Angels Camp just off Main Street. The market begins at 5pm and closes at Dusk. Visitors to the market enjoy an abundance of locally grown, fresh, certified produce with a variety of seasonal fruits, vegetables, eggs and nuts. Plenty of food and dining choices are available from local restaurants and catering companies as well as baked goods, specialty foods, desserts, cupcakes, chocolate creations, olive oil, bbq sauces and seasonings, jams, honey and ice-cream.
The food and dining choices at the market include the famous Lockford Sausage sandwiches and pulled pork BBQ plates from Made in Calaveras with kids hot dogs available as well. Lunch Lady Catering is always a crowd favorite with her wonderful seasonal gourmet fresh market Pizza's. For the kids LLC offers a child's plate that includes a cheese and olive pizza, mini cupcake and strawberry lemonade for just $6! And of course there is plenty of ice cream, Italian Ice and even Root Beer Floats available.
