Angels Camp / Altaville Calfire Station Taking Shape ~By John Hamilton
Angels Camp, CA...The new Angels Camp Calfire Station is rapidly taking shape along Hwy 49. The secluded but centrally located station just south of the old school house. The new station is taking place of the 1950's era structure that had long since outlived it's usefulness. You may recall one of the old trees on the property became a local "Save The Tree" for a few weeks last year. That is now a distant memory and the new station will be ready for next year's fire season...
The station is being temporarily run from the back lot of the Angels Camp Police Department where Calfire has portables set up during the construction phase of the new station.
