June 24-25, 2011 - Golden Palette Art Show at Bryce Station - This year the annual art show of the Golden Palette Art Association will be hosted by Quyle Kilns/Brice Station Winery in conjunction with Passport Weekend Open House. This show will display the fine talents of GPAA member artists in an array of mediums. This exhibit is free and will be open Saturday June 25th and Sunday June 26th from 11am to 6pm. June 24-26, 2011 - 15th Annual Passport Wine Weekend - The Calaveras Winegrape Alliance will host Passport Wine Weekend at its 20 plus-member wineries and tasting rooms, replete with three days full of entertainment, gourmet foods, surprises, and special discounts, paired expertly with Calaveras County’s finest wines. This bountiful weekend kicks off Friday night with “Taste the World of Calaveras” in Murphys Community Park on Algiers Street from 6 to 8:30 p.m. With Angels Creek flowing beside oak-shaded picnic tables and the park’s iconic white gazebo, guests are invited to enter the world of Calaveras with wine varietals from five regions – California, France, Italy, Rhone and Spain. Each region will have its own area proffering international culinary delights paired with wines made from grapes with origins in those locales.
