Saturdays in June - Walking Tours of Historic Downtown Murphys are available at no charge on Saturday mornings at 10am leaving from the Old Timers Museum across from the Murphys Hotel. Please contact Jo Sanders at 209-728-3072 to confirm dates and times or to set up a tour for a group of 12 or more.

Win an Ocean Kayak donated by the Sierra Nevada Adventure Company (SNAC) - Raffle tickets will be available for purchase for $5 each or 5 for $20 at SNAC and at various local events or by calling 209-728-1948. Winning ticket will be drawn and announced at Homecoming on July 16. All proceeds benefit the Murphys Community Club.

Fridays & Saturday in June - Zucca After Hours Wine Bar - With the warm spring and summer evenings approaching we are happy to announce the Zucca After Hours Wine Bar. Friday and Saturday nights, our garden will be open from 5-8 pm for Wine Bar service “al’Italiano”. Pick your favorite seat and enjoy our wines by the glass and a small bread plate, or choose your own flight of wines. Live music on select nights.

June 2, 2011 - The Women’s Fellowship Grande Finale Musicale at First Congregational Church of Murphys - Thursday, at 1 pm. Their business meeting is at 11 am, which includes installation of new officers. Following will be a hotdog and chili lunch ($2 donation) at noon. Entertainment will be provided by Kim Plowman, Patti Hennessee and two special guest artists. Come join us for a very enjoyable afternoon. 509 N. June 3, 2011 - First Friday in the Park - Lucky Jenni and the Full House Band - The Murphys Community Club’s popular series of First Friday of the Month concerts will have its initial 2011 performance on June 3 starting at 5:30 p.m. Music will be provided by Lucky Jenni and the Full House Band, a local band headlined by the former lead singer of Chains Required, Jenni Roland, who wowed the crowd last year with her big bluesy voice. Members of the Murphys Community Club board will prepare a dinner of BBQ pork loin and side dishes for $8 per person. Coppermine wine, from Lavender Ridge Vineyard, along with soda and water, will be available to purchase. There is no admission charge. June 5, 2011 - IRONSTONE'S BBQ COMPETITION & "CLASSIC CAR CRUISE" Classic cars will join the Ironstone BBQ event this year. Cars will stage at Feeney Park, 196 Pennsylvania Gulch Rd. (off Hwy 4) in Murphys at 10:00 am and caravan together into the winery at 11:00 am for a fun day on the grass at beautiful Ironstone Winery. All makes & models are welcome, 1975 & older. June 7, 2011 - YOGURT YOUR WAY Hosts a Fundraiser for the Calaveras Humane Society - From 4PM-7PM - Owner Jenny Baxter is donating 50% of the proceeds to the Calaveras Humane Society. Stop by now and check out the two beautiful raffle prizes and pick up a ticket. Feel really good about eating a large yogurt piled high with your choice of scrumptious toppings. Jenny Baxter opened Yogurt Your Way in March. The family-operated shop features various flavors of self-serve yogurt that change each week. Toppings include fresh fruit, candy, nuts and sauces.
