Easter Holy Week Services at San Andreas Community Covenant Church

Everyone is invited to celebrate Easter at San Andreas Community Covenant Church. Holy Week includes the days leading up to Easter and begins with a special Tenebrae Service on Thursday evening, April 21st, at 7pm. This is a solemn candle lit service of readings where we can reflect on the events leading up to the Crucifixion of Jesus. ......

On Good Friday we will host the Stations of the Cross from 8am to 8pm. This is a self-directed experience for adults where individuals move from station to station within the church to meditate on Christ’s selfless sacrifice. We ask that no children under 13 participate on Friday, to allow for a quiet time of meditation without distraction.

On Holy Saturday, we will again host the Stations of the Cross from 8am to 12 noon. This is designated as family time where parents may bring all their children to experience the Stations of the Cross as a family.

Easter Sunday, April 24, is the day we remember the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The 10am Worship Service will be a joyful celebration with uplifting songs of praise and a choral presentation of the Easter Story, including stirring music from a full brass choir. Pastor Dan Boyce will bring the message of hope and salvation “The Resurrection” based on the first-hand accounts found in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Also at this Sunday Service is a Children’s Hour of Easter Fun and Devotions for children ages 4 yrs old--6th grade and a nursery & preschool program for the younger children. Come for the joy of the day and join us for a time of fellowship following the service.
