Fairgoers will enjoy stories and images dating back to 1811 from across the country and experience how the modern agricultural fair evolved and spread during the last 200 years into what it is today. Made in America offers a chance for patrons to discover the history of unique fair foods, the expansion of entertainment and livestock and what it takes to create the magical fun and educational experience of fairs everywhere. “The Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee has something no other Fair is America has and that is the Jumping Frogs” says Laurie Giannini, Asst.Mgr.
Made in America: The Story of the Modern Fair, will be in Tom Sawyer Hall which is located near the Carnival entrance for the duration of the Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee, May 19-22.
