Bear Valley Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe Sprint This Eve!~by Sandi Pearce
Bear Valley, CA....As part of the Opening Ceremonies for Winter Senior Games, Bear Valley Cross Country Hosted a Cross Country Skate and Snowshoe Sprint this evening. The events continue throughout the weekend! Full schedule enclosed.....

Friday March 11 Events
Friday March 11 – 10:00am GS Race (2 runs) – Bear Valley Mtn “Ski Area” - $35.00 Individual Registration Fee. This event is open to Snowboarders, Alpine and Telemark skiers.

11am GS RACE (Telemark) (2 runs)
Friday March 11 – Cross Country Skate or Snowshoe Sprint (03/11/11 @ 5pm) – $20.00 Individual Registration Fee.

Saturday March 12 – 10K Nordic Race Stride/Skate age 70 + (3/12/11 @ 10:30 AM) – $45.00 Individual Registration Fee.
Saturday March 12 – 20k Nordic Race Stride/Skate ages 50 to 69 (3/12/11@10:30AM) – $45.00 Individual Registration Fee.
Sat March 12 – Slalom (2 runs) 10am Bear Valley Mtn “Ski Area” – $35.00 Individual Registration Fee. This event is open to Snowboarders, Alpine and Telemark skiers.

Sunday March 13 – 5k Snowshoe or Stride ages 70+ (3/13/11 @ 10 am) - $38.00 Individual Registration Fee.
Sunday March 13 – 10k Snowshoe or Stride ages 50-69 (3/13/11@10am) - $38.00 Individual Registration Fee.
Sunday March 13 – Dual Slalom 10:00am Bear Valley Mtn “Ski Area” – $35.00 Individual Registration Fee. This event is open to Snowboarders, Alpine and Telemark skiers. This head to head competition will start with 2 qualifying runs.

Ceremonies and Dinners
Friday March 11 - 6:00pm Opening Ceremonies - Bear Valley Mtn “Ski Area” $15.00 Individual Fee. We will kick off the night with a Fun and fabulous Dinner party on mountain immediately following the sprint race. Live Music and Fireworks will light up the sky as we celebrate the 2011 California Senior Game Athletes and family fun.
Sat March 12 – Celebration Banquet 5:30pm – Bear Valley Lodge – $25.00 Individual Fee. Gourmet meal, live music and more at the Bear Valley Lodge
Sunday March 13 Closing Ceremonies – 2:00pm Bear Valley Mtn “Ski Area” – $10.00 (all proceeds to BVMT School Progam) Close out the celebration with a well deserved brew or glass of wine. We will honor our top finishers and start making plans for next year.
