Bare Root Planting and Sheet Composting Featured at Open Garden Day
While your personal garden rests come mingle with the public and Calaveras County Master Gardeners at the first free Open Garden Day of 2011, held at the Calaveras County Demonstration Garden site from 10 AM to 2 PM, Saturday, February 26, 891 Mountain Ranch Rd., San Andreas. Informal demonstrations featuring bare root planting begin at 10:30, following by sheet composting at 11:00. Catch the plant sale from 10 AM to Noon and bring your questions to one of the many Master Gardeners available. Take a stroll ......
through the entire garden or stop by the learning center to access the many resources covering all topics of interest to home gardeners. University of California’s Integrated Pest Management Quick Tip cards, Pest Notes, and other handouts are available for the public to take home.
