It's Follies Time....Calaveras Follies Meeting With All Interested Cast Members~with Video & Photos of Last Years Event
San Andreas, CA....The Calaveras Mentoring Foundation will hold their initial meetings for all interested Calaveras County folks who would like to be in this year’s show. The meetings will be held February 3 at the Calaveras County Main Library in San Andreas, Cheseborough Room from 4pm to 6:30pm and February 17 at the Murphys Suites Hotel, conference room in Murphys from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Individuals will be seen in the order they arrive....

This will be the 7th annual Calaveras Follies and produced for the first time by the newly formed Calaveras Mentoring Foundation, a private non-profit corporation created for the purpose to educate the community and develop volunteer and financial support for the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program. This year, the Follies will be held April 16th. Tickets go on sale March 7th. Call for reservations after February 1st for more information at 536-6302.
Individuals and businesses are urged to join Jim and Deana Murchison in becoming a sponsor for the Follies by calling Jennifer Robinson at 754-4332. Sponsors are seated closer to the stage than non-sponsors, a major advantage.
The Calaveras Follies is the main fundraiser for the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program. This is a countywide program based on the Big Brothers Big Sisters model, and administered by the Calaveras County Office of Education. The youth served are students in 1st through 12th grades who want a mentor and are referred to the program; where they are matched with safe, caring adults who offer support, guidance and friendship and help them make healthy life decisions.
