Christmas to Remember 2010
The annual Christmas to Remember donation drive is about to begin. Christmas to Remember is an annual event that provides selected Calaveras Unified School District students with vouchers they use to purchase needed clothing items. Each year we have been able to help over 120 students by providing them with a voucher for over $100 which has to be used at K-Mart to purchase clothes. The funding for the vouchers is generated through the generous donations from our community....
Donations are tax-deductible and can be made in advance by contacting Mark Campbell (754-2301) or Gene Weatherby (286-1411). We are seeking donations from businesses/community organizations in advance as well as conducting our annual donation days on December 1st and 2nd. On those days, representatives from local Lions Club's , West Calaveras Rotary and Calaveras Unified School District will have locations in Valley Springs, San Andreas, Mokelumne Hill and West Point where donations can be dropped off. More information will be forthcoming regarding specific times and locations.
This is a fantastic opportunity to provide assistance to students who are in need, and any/all donations are greatly appreciated.
