In Loving Memory of Shannon Kemeny Brown~Denny 1968~2010
Mokelumne Hill, CA....Shannon Kemeny Brown-Denny was born in Merced, CA on June 20, 1968 and passed away peacefully in her sleep in Mokelumne Hill, CA on October 6, 2010. She was 42 yrs. old. Shannon lived in Calaveras and Amador Counties for most of her life and attended local schools. She is preceded in death by her mother Connie Glass Flowers, grandparents Claude and Ces Glass and Martha Glass, aunt Barbara Sullivan, uncle Dennis Glass, and cousin April .....
Sullivan Milbrandt. She is survived by her five children, Justin Brown, Jasper Brown, and Corrina Brown, all of Pine Grove, CA and Chase and Zackary Naranjo of Merced, CA. She is also survived by her sister Monica Kemeny of Florida, brother Jeffrey Kemeny and his wife Jamie of Mountain Ranch, CA, brothers Joseph and Thomas Flowers of Merced, and sister Cherrie Shannon of Wisconsin. She is further survived by her nephews Tyler Madole and Dillon Kemeny and niece Nicolette Kemeny, numerous aunts and uncles and more than 80 cousins.
Shannon was a baker by profession, but a mother by choice. She was well-known for her homemade cookies and making Grandma Brown’s blackberry cobbler. She loved holidays and gatherings and any occasion where she could be surrounded by her family and friends. Her children were her heart. They meant the world to her and she always had the desire, but not always the will-power, to give them everything. She wanted to make their world better with what little she had. When her kids were small, she enjoyed being a parent volunteer at their schools. She was always there for Corrina in girl scouts and softball, and in supporting Justin and Jasper in wrestling, football, and baseball. Her heart will always be there for Chase and Zackary as they grow up and continue to fulfill their hopes and dreams. Her spirit will live on in her children forever. We mourn the loss of who she once was, a loving, kind and giving person full of joy and laughter. We hope for her to have finally found the peace she longed for but could not find here.
R.I.P Mom, you will forever be in our hearts and souls and we cherish all the good memories you have left us. You have forever touched our hearts. Not a day will go by when we won't miss you. You’re always going to be our mom no matter what. We will love you forever and always. We love and miss you with all our heart.
A memorial gathering will be held at Mountain Ranch Park in Mountain Ranch, CA on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Merced District Cemetery in Merced, CA on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 2:00 pm, followed with a gathering at Gma and Gpa’s.
