We have some very exciting things planned for the upcoming sports season, so stay tuned and thanks so much for your visits!.....The evening of Thursday August 5 the Gold Country All Comers Meet showed off the new track at Bret Harte. Seven races made it a busy night for all ages as tonight it didn’t matter if you were 8 or 60 years old if you wanted to run then you did. The 5K was the pinnacle race of the evening where Tyco Sedler took the 1st place honors with a time of 18:19.70. Tyco was followed closely by Brandon Jacobs who nearly shadowed Tyco for the whole race, Jacobs ......

finished with a time of 18:31.10. The girls 5K race was a close one 1st and 2nd place were only separated by 4.10 sec. Paige Henker squeaked out a victory over Sara Mikesell.
The girls 1600 meter race was won by Haley Heryford with at time of 6:35.03. The race for 2nd place was a close one with 3 competitors contending for that spot with only 6 seconds separating them with Vicky Johnson taking home 2nd place for the 1600 meters. Tonight it was all about the spirit of competition, sportsmanship, and encouragement for competitors trying their best to finish the race. A good time was had by competitors and spectators alike.
