Services for Elizabeth Ann Airola Set For Friday
Angels Camp, CA...Elizabeth Ann Airola, 53, was granted wings to fly free of her struggle with cancer this 4th of July. She passed at home comforted by family and friends. A lifelong resident of Calaveras county, Liz graduated Bret Harte High School in 1974. She worked at Hydrox Inc. in Angels Camp for 26 years. She then found her calling as a registered nurse and has enjoyed the past 6 years comforting the sick in the oncology department of Doctor's Medical Center in Modesto. She enjoyed living on the family ranch in Angels Camp and was very involved in the local 4H club...
She is survived by her husband Mike Airola, 2 sons Zachary and Matthew, Parents Earle and Elda Darby and siblings Rick Darby, Jay Darby and Maria Peirano.
A viewing will be held at Angels Memorial Chapel Thursday from 1 to 6 PM. The funeral will be held at St. Patricks Church in Angels Camp Friday at 11AM, followed by burial for family only and then a celebration of Elizabeth's life at the Dove Hill Ranch at 1PM.
A drive-through spaghetti dinner will be held to offset medical costs at St. Patricks church July 11th from 4 to 6:30PM more info at (209)559-1185. Donations can also be given to Liz Airola Benefit Fund at BBVA Compass Bank in Angels Camp or to your favorite charity.
