Sonora, CA.....Coming off their first win at Merced, the Hellcats were raging with derby energy and ready to play. The Hellcats took the lead vs. the Sn Cal Derby Vixens with the first jam and never looked back. In fact they put up such a big number that the score board couldn't handle all the digits. The Hellcats had a near sell out crowd on Saturday evening. The next bout will be August 14th against SinTral Valley. The doors open at 5:30 and the bout starts at 7:00 at High Country Sports Arena 18960 Waylon Way Sonora.....

The Mountain Derby Girls are the first Women's Roller Derby League in Sonora, CA. Founded in January 2009. They are always looking for both skaters and volunteers for this program. Practices are Tuesdays from 7:00-9:30 p.m., Thursdays from 7:00-9:30 p.m. and Sundays from 4:00-6:30 p.m., at High Country Sports Arena in Sonora. New skaters must be over 18. You may attend practice twice by paying $5.00. After that trial period you must commit to joining the program by paying club dues. This cost covers your floor time practices. The Arena has skates available for purchase and you may use rental skates for practice until a purchase is made. You must have health insurance.
