Murphys, CA...Chief of Staff Dan Savage is the keynote speaker at the third “Let’s Talk Health” series luncheon at Ironstone Vineyards at noon on March 17th, 2010. Mr. Savage will be speaking about “Childhood Diabetes and Our Family”. Dan’s oldest son Sean was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 13 and has now taken control of managing his disease. Along the way, Dan, his wife Sue and youngest son Colin, have learned a great deal about diabetes and incorporated Sean’s condition into the family lifestyle...

“Mark Twain Health Care District has been supporting diabetes management programs for many years, so having Mr. Savage presenting at Ironstone Vineyards is a perfect compliment to our Mission” said board member Robert Campana. “Childhood diabetes, and even childhood obesity, can lead to devastating results if not managed properly.
