Camps Restaurant – Angels Camp
Board Members Present: Firman Brown, Jerri Mills, Kathy Mazzaferro, Bob Trinchero, Rob Miller, Jeff Johnson, Jack Boeding
Board Members Absent: Rick Downey
Members Present: Ray Malerbi, Laurie Giannini, Calaveras County Fair,
1. The Meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by President Firman Brown
2. Minutes of the November 19 and December 2 meetings were presented. November 16 was corrected (see attached copy) and approved. December 2 was approved without correction.
3. Treasurers Report -
• $8,056.13 – General Account with Pacific State Bank
• $1,595.57 – Scholarship Account with Bank of Stockton
• $15,786 – Pacific State Bank Raffle proceeds account
4. Correspondence – None
5. Old business –
o Cattleman’s Area update – A walk through of the area will be needed after the holidays in order to review plans, etc., prior to presentation to the Fair Board of Directors.
o Pot O’ Gold Raffle – Each board member will take ten tickets for sale. Suzy Miller has volunteered to again serve as bookkeeper for the raffle. Proposed changed - service club agents to receive 20% of gross dollar sales. Full presentation on the structure of this years raffle and community involvement to be made at our January meeting.
o Whiskerino Dinner/Dance Saturday, May 1, 2010 – Jeff Miller and Jerri Mills to chair. Jeff and Jack to work on entry forms
• Poster presented for review.
• No entry fee.
• Fair will provide dinner for $10.00. Dinner to include tri-tip, sald, beans & bread
• Fair is partner with Friends for event – split net on the bar
• $1.00 additional cost per person to be paid to the Fair for table clothes, trash removal, etc.
• Live band as opposed to DJ, estimate $300 cost
• Cost of event $18 per person; $30 per couple
o Coronation Ball – Date moved to Friday evening, May 7. Kathy to Chair.
NEXT MEETING – Wednesday, January 20, 2010 ~ 6:00 pm at Camps.
