The Annual Snagfallers' Ball Saturday November 7th!

Arnold, CA...The Snagfallers' Ball, Saturday, Nov. 7, at Independence Hall in White Pines. Social hr. begins at 5pm, dinner at 6pm dancing to Dance Magick 7::30pm. Admission: $15 per adult, kids under 18: $5. Snagfaller History: In the old logging days of yesteryear the loggers would put off falling the snags (dead trees) till the end of the season. Being dead, the trees were very dangerous to fall because the faller never knew which way the snag would fall.....hence they were frequent "widow makers". The wives would put together a special dinner on the eve of their snagfalling period hoping the celebration would bring their husbands home same and sound....

This event is very casual.....plaid shirts, suspenders and jeans are most appropriate...it's a nice family evening and a celebration time for FLM to thank each other and the community for the season's hard work. The Museum will close on 11/29, opening next spring on April 1.
