Thunder Launches Historical One Millionth Fan Contest Contest gives lucky fan an array of vacation, destination and season ticket prizes
Stockton, CA....The Stockton Thunder, a two-time recipient of the ECHL "Award of Excellence," has announced a special landmark "One Millionth Fan" contest which begins on Friday, Oct. 23, the evening of the team's home opener at Stockton Arena against the Ontario Reign at 7:30 p.m. The contest begins the official countdown to search for one millionth fan to cross the turnstiles of Stockton Arena in the Thunder's five year history. As the reigning four-time ECHL attendance leader, the Thunder needs just 64,360 fans to reach the one million mark.....
The lucky fan will be selected as fans enter Stockton Arena, on the day the Thunder is scheduled to reach the one millionth fan mark. Upon selection, the milestone, one million fan to cross the turnstiles will be awarded an array of destination, ticket and all-access prizes that are unprecedented in Thunder history.
"Having won the ECHL attendance title in each of our first four seasons is something we are very proud of and is a true testament to our loyal and committed fans," said Thunder president Dan Chapman. "Reaching the one million fan mark in just our fifth season is a significant accomplishment and we look forward to celebrating this feat with each and every one of our great supporters of the Thunder. It's our special way of giving back to a lucky fan who represents our loyal fanbase."
After being identified at the game where the Thunder surpasses the one millionth fan milestone, the lucky fan will enjoy a two-day, one-night stay for four and a special "Stay ‘N Play" recreation package at the Yosemite Lodge in Yosemite National Park. The "Stay ‘N Play" package includes one-day ski lift ticket, ski or snowboard rental, tubing lessons, ice skating and a Valley Floor Tour.
