City Council Candidates Square Off....Video of Debate Enclosed

Angels Camp, CA...A good sized crowd was on hand last night to watch the debate between Candidates, Rick Downey and George Fry as they sparred for votes in their race for an Angels Camp City council seat. Betty Raggio was absent but did send a letter that was read to the crowd by Camp's proprietress Sherri Smith. The debate followed the time worn format with each candidate getting a few minutes to state their case before the questions commenced...


Bob Menary did a fine job moderating the event and wielded the yellow and red lights that signified that was time to had the question to the next opponent.

George highlighted his varied background and experience while Candidate Downey discussed his business background and results.

The topics ranged from Water & Sewer issues to how would they fill the vacancies in the Historic Section of town. The entire debate is below...
