Alpine County Planning Commission Approves Bear Valley Village Project 5-0 ~By John Hamilton Full Meeting Video Enclosed

Bear Valley, CA...This is the video of the Planning Commission meeting that we attended and talked about last week. This meeting was attended by a large cross section of business interests from not only Alpine County but from all along the Ebbetts Pass Corridor. They all made appearances to show their support for the new Bear Vallry Village and Village lift. John Buckley also spoke about what he and Central Sierra Environmental Resource Center (CSERC) believe are additional environmental measures that need to be taken for the project...

Still to be worked out as well are road impact mitigations with Caltrans and also Calaveras County.

Calaveras County's Public Works Director also spoke briefly about their willingness to work with Alpine County and the developer.

The evening started off with the proponents of the project taking the lead in addressing the commission and then they were followed by additional parties wishing to chime in.

The meeting lasted over three hours and in it's entirety below. The video is dark to very dark in portions. Such is the nature of ambient light in the Cathedral Lounge....
