Murphys Farmers Market Open for the Season~by Christine Taylor of Table Mountain
Are you shopping for great quality, fresh and local fruits and veggies? Then the Murphys Farmers Market is the place to go. The scene is social, so come prepared to spend a little time shopping, chatting and tasting some excellent wines. We offer a wide variety of products in a beautiful setting under the canopy of the crush pad at Vina Moda Winery. The tasting room is open during market hours for tasting and the lawn is inviting to picnic and visit with friends.....
Our theme “local and sustainable” is exactly that. Featuring all locally grown products raised by passionate farmers whose goal is quality and diversity without the use of chemicals or pesticides. Our farmers come from within a 50-mile radius of the market location so you can be assured that the food you purchase doesn’t have a heavy carbon footprint. Sustainable is seasonal, diverse and affordable.
Where can you get an heirloom nectarine that because of its short shelf life is no longer grown commercially? Where can you get a ripe yellow and red striped Hillbilly Potato-leafed tomato that is still warm from the summer sun? You will find varieties found no where else: purple kohlrabi, slender young Asian eggplant, yellow fleshed watermelon and aromatic French mini melons that are more desert than fruit.
Diversity is the key. With over eight local growers we bring you everything from meat to honey, eggs to flowers, dried wild mushrooms to spinach, wild blackberries to bread. A weekly shop at the farmers market will set you up for the whole week with the most healthful, nutritious foods for you and your family.

Murphys Farmers Market is held every Thursday evening from 4pm until sundown at Vina Moda Winery, Main Street and Murphys Grade Roads, Murphys.
Arnold Farmers Market is held every Sunday from 10 am to 1:30pm at Cedar Center, Arnold.
