FoCuS Announces Its Sustainable Living Series Educational Programs for June
Arnold, CA.... FoCuS will sponsor three educational programs during May – two evening Sustainable Conversations (June 18 in Angels Camp and June 24 in Murphys), and one Sustainable Living Seminars (Friday evening, June 5 and Saturday morning June 6, in Sonora). Each month, FoCuS sponsors a “sustainable conversation.” This month, there will be two of these evening programs.....

On June 18, there will be a two-hour panel of US Forest Service staff members discussing “The Four Major Threats to Our Forests,” from 7:00 – 9:00 at the World Mercantile & Gallery at 1267 S. Main St. in Angels Camp. World Mercantile will keep its kitchen open so that light supper can be purchased during the hour before the USFS panel.
On June 24, communications educator Sue Holper will lead a discussion on the topic “When Everyone Matters, Everyone Thrives” from 7:00 – 9:00 at the Tuolumne County Ambulance and Fire Center (18440 Striker Ct.) in Sonora.
There is one upcoming “Sustainable Seminar” on June 5, 5:30-6:30 and June 6, 9:30-12:30, Rick Burkhard and Mariza Cortez will offer “Solar today!
Global Issues to Local Solutions.” This seminar will be held at 19472 Village Dr. in Sonora.
