Black Oak Casino Presents Houston Jones plus David Shapireau and West of Next!

Tuolumne, CA.....Houston Jones Houston Jones, high-octane Americana quintet from the San Francisco Bay Area, will be performing their blend of original grass-roots americana music. Featuring the mile-a-minute flatpicking of former Waybacks guitarist Glenn Houston and the honky tonk vocals and guitar of Travis Jones, Henry Salvia on keyboard and accordion, Chris Kee (formerly of the Waybacks) on standup bass, cello and acoustic guitar, and Peter Tucker (formerly of the Waybacks) on percussion, Houston Jones easily blend musical styles from bluegrass, country, folk, and gospel to blues and jazz. ...

Houston Jones~by Tim Konrad Photography...... David Shapireau and West of Next

With a rich musical environment with honky tonk, rock, western swing, zydeco and jazz influence, D.S. & W.O.N is one of Sacramento's hottest music tickets!

Shapireau, a longtime Tuolumne County music stylist and arranger, has pulled together his best band EVER! "We're a new band of veteran musicians." Each member of the band has a rich history on the world music scene. There is even a Multi-Platinum record holder. These guys have cut albums and been on stage with some of the greats, including Van Morrison, Bonnie Raitt, Steve Miller, Linda Ronstadt, Taj Mahal, Maria Muldaur, Jerry Garcia, Tony Rice and Bela Fleck to name a few.

Shapireau lived in Tuolumne County for many years, and still feels at home in our foothills. West of Next includes Steve Randall, Gabriel Nelson & drummer Tony Dey. www.myspace.com/davidshapireauwestofnext.
