City of Angels Camp City Council Meets Tomorrow Eve at 5pm

Angels Camp, CA...The Angels Camp City Council meet Tuesday May for their regular meeting. The will start out with a Closed Session at 5pm Discussing Title 22/Greenhorn Creek and also CCWD, UPA and City of Angels, then move to the Regular Meeting at 5:45pm. They will start the meeting with Abatement Items concerning the Lode Hotel and the owners progress towards compliance; Lisa Mayo, Executive Director of the Calaveras Visitor's Bureau will speak requesting May 9th~14th 2009 as National Tourism Week; Consideration of new requirements for acceptance of easement of public walkway and more. CLOSED SESSION: CONFERENCE INVOLVING A JOINT POWERS AGENCY ( UTICA P0WER AUTH0RITY)
Discussion will concern litigation regarding disputed water rights.  Attorneys for the City of Angels, the UPUD and the UPA will be advising local agency representatives  with respect to the legal issues involved.

ABATEMENT ITEM

CONSIDERATION OF ABATEMENT/DEMOLITION OF THE LODE HOTEL - Bruce Silva, Building Official
City staff shall continue to monitor the owner’s progress towards compliance with the Abatement Order issued by the Council on 12/16/08. The matter shall be agendized on each upcoming regular Council Agenda for the purpose of reporting the status of the owner’s progress. When substantial compliance with the Abatement Order has been verified by City staff, the Council shall consider a request from the owner to dissolve the Abatement Order.
Council Action: CONTINUE THIS ITEM TO MONITOR THE OWNER’S PROGRESS TOWARDS COMPLIANCE WITH THE ABATEMENT ORDER ISSUED BY THE COUNCIL ON DECEMBER 16, 2008.
