Trinitas Matriarch, Patricia Anne Hansen Nemee, has Passed Away After A Long Fight Against Breast Cancer

Valley Springs, CA...Patricia Anne Hansen Nemee was born in Stockton on May 12, 1943. She passed away on April 19, 2009. Pat graduated from Stagg High School in 1961 and was Miss Stockton 1964. She graduated from the University of the Pacific with her undergraduate degree in Home Economics and later her Masters in Education. Pat and her husband, Steve, moved to Valley Springs in 2002. She dedicated her entire adult life to public school education. Pat taught for almost 40 years at both her alma mater, Stagg High School, and later at Franklin High School. During her tenure she taught home economics and English. Pat was the work experience coordinator, academic decathlon advisor, AVID program director, and a cheerleading and badminton coach....

Pat loved to spend her free time sewing and quilting and tending to her orchids and roses. Later in life, Pat became an expert in olive cultivation and looked forward to the family’s fall olive harvest. Pat was proud to serve as the President of the Valley Springs Quilt Guild. She loved working on the quilts of valor, the cuddle quilts used by fellow cancer patients and young children in need, and was extremely proud of the guild’s quilt honoring the state of California.

Pat is survived by her loving husband of almost 45 years, Steve Nemee, and their sons Steven (Peggy) and Michael (Michelle); and their daughter Suzanne Saiers (Mike). Pat had 6 grandchildren that were the light of her life: Sydney Nemee; Samuel and Nathaniel Nemee; and Ava, Kyra and Isabelle Saiers.

Pat will be dearly missed by her family. They ask for donations to be sent in Pat’s name to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Ste. 250, Dallas, TX 75244. Funeral services will be at the Cathedral of the Annunciation (Stockton) on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 10:00 AM.
