The Board is in Session! When We Know You Will Know. Continued Until April 28th ...FIve Hours of Video is Up

San Andreas, CA...This mornings Trinitas Centric Board of Supervisors meeting is underway. There is another large crowd waiting to weigh in on the project. The Trinitas project has not come up on the agenda yet. This meeting will most likely take several hours at least. Because of it's location we cannot push the meeting live. We will post updates during the meeting anytime there is anything of import to pass along. As of 9:45am the board has yet to take up the project....

Below are links to the first 5 hours of the meeting in seperate segments. The last segments should be up this evening. We will also post PATV video in a single file as soon as they have it prepped.

There is a heated discussion on the Barksdale at 5446 Pool Station Road project. There has been much discussion on the prospects of allowing a split of over a 100 acres into 4 parcels. At the crux is that the county wants new projects to be on public sewer and water.

In addition to the neighbors and interested parties Mr. Steve Fairchild spoke and asked that the county leave the door open for new technological solutions to sewer and water problems. He mentioned developments in Colorado that are not on public sewer or water that function quite nicely.

Before the board on the Barksdale project is also the quality of the road. The road is currently a "D" level of service road. The general plan states that a road needs to be at least a "C" level.

The board voted to deny the acceptance of the application for the Barksdale project. (Update...the vote was 3-2 against. Thomas & Tofanelli in favor and Tryon, Callaway & Wilensky opposed)

The Trinitas portion is underway now. Public comments will be limited to 3 minutes per speaker and 15 minutes aggregate for an organization. It was also announced that they will finish today.

(1:05pm) We are back in session after the supervisors took a short lunch recess with Ed Pattison from CCWD talking about water impact and what CCWD would recommend regarding this project. His testimony has been a blend of "Use it or lose it" in regards to water rights and in his opinion real mitigation measures from Trinitas would be a well monitoring program and if a landowner in the surrounding area had a well fail then the Trinitas project should either replace their well or provide an alternative water source. CCWD is interested in partnering with Trinitas on bringing surface water to the Eastern section of the county.

(3:39) The public comment is still going on. Both pros and cons have had their say. Their plan is to finish public comment today but not complete deliberations. We will let you know if anything changes..

5:11pm, meeting still going on.

They have agreed to move the discussion to 4/28/09!
