Calaveras County Board of Supervisor Meeting & Video for April 7, 2009 ~By John Hamilton
San Andreas, CA...It was another busy meeting for the Board. You can definitely tell we are entering Fair season as the local 4H Clubs were on hand to address the board. The Kids did wonderful job! Michele Shelton from the Amador-Tuolumne Community Action Agency was back to give a very nice presentation on their work to increase the Broadband penetration in the local rural counties. Robert Liebold from Velo Promo attended to make his case for the fast track approval of permits to hold the 26th Annual Copperopolis Road Race. The Board also passed a resolution proclaiming April as Alcohol Awareness Month. A large contingent from Behavioral Health was on hand to talk about substance abuse....
First 5 Calaveras was on hand as well for the declaring of April 2009 as Child Abuse Prevention Month in Calaveras County.
Auditor-Controller Linda Churches, CPA was on hand to present the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, Single Audit Report, Management Report, and Appropriations Limit Independent Accountant's Report.
There were also some Code Compliance issues and the several more routine Board matters.
