Learn more about the various activities FoCuS is involved in. Find the group that fits your interests or start one of your own and start planning activities for the upcoming year. .....
Our current groups include: Agriculture & Gardening/Food, Green Profitability Network (business network), Central Sierra Ecological Building Association (sustainable building, solar, energy efficiency), Health & Wellness, and Biodiesel. Startup groups include waste management/large scale composting, vermiculture, and recycling, transportation, water and land use.

Come and join us at the Foothill Collaborative for Sustainability's (FoCuS) spring 2009 gathering to network with others interested in sustainability and community self reliance, and to learn more about the various activities in which FoCuS is involved.
We will begin with a pot-luck lunch at noon (bring a dish that will serve 6-8). Also bring your own washable cups, dishes and cutlery. Following lunch, we will engage in lightly facilitated conversations about current and anticipated activities to enhance sustainable living in Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties until 5:30.
FoCuS has generated four active interest groups, called "Seed Groups," that include the Green Profitability Network, Central Sierra Ecological Building Association, Health and Wellness, and FoCuS on Food. Additional groups are in the process of forming, including alternative fuels & energy, transportation, composting, vermiculture, and waste management. Each interest group will have an opportunity to introduce itself and its current programs, and everyone will have opportunities to explore the work of each group more deeply.
The goals of the day are to:
1. have a joyful networking experience
2. integrate new people into FoCuS and its Seed Groups
3. provide each seed group with the opportunity to generate next action steps
4. promote awareness of each others' operations and programs
