Letter to the Editor~by Bob Rynd of Murphys
Hi John & Kim, I was listening to talk radio this evening, Dr. Bill Watenberg, KGO Radio, and he mentioned Assembly Bill 885 as a concern to all rural counties in California. This bill was passed back in 2000 but has yet to be adapted by the California Water Resources Board. It is currently in a public input mode up to Feb 9. Should this bill be adapted, it will effect many property owners in Calaveras County with mandatory inspections and .....
compliance burdening the property owners with the costs. This bill has the potential to be yet another beauracratic fiasco at the expense of low/fixed income public. This is "more government in your face" and must be prevented from being adopted. I am and I'm sure most folks in California care about their water resources, but this scares me with the fact that the California Water Resources Board will be governing this. These are the same folks that came in the late ninties and put undue burden on Mom & Pop Grocery & Gas, putting many out of business.
Maybe your readers have some input on this Assembly Bill.
