The 13th annual Passport “Wine” Weekend sponsored by the Calaveras Winegrape Alliance (CWA) will take place June 26 to 28, 2009. Please join our 25 member tasting rooms located throughout Calaveras County for a special weekend of gourmet foods, entertainment, special winery discounts and of course award winning Calaveras wines! Participants are issued “passports” that are stamped at each of the wineries visited, and are entered in drawings for some fun prizes. All participants must be 21 years or older, designated drivers are encouraged and given special buttons and receive free non-alcoholic beverages. Friday night only tickets and Sunday only passports will be offered to allow one-day visitors the opportunity to join the wine tasting festivities and discover Calaveras Wines. If you purchase by May 31st, the cost for the 3-day passport is just $50.00 and includes admission to Friday Night’s “Taste the World of Calaveras”. A 1-day Sunday only passport is available for $30.00. Admission to Friday night only is $30.00.
