Calaveras County Planning Commission Meeting
The Calaveras County Planning Commission will meet on October 2nd at 9am. They will hold two Public Hearings. The first is regarding and extension of time for development agreement of Saddle Creek (Calaveras Country Club) to allow up to 10 years additional time to complete the development agreement for the Saddle Creek subdivision; The 2nd Public Hearing will a General Plan and Zoning Amendment the for Ventana, LLC. CALAVERAS COUNTY MISSION STATEMENT
The Mission of Calaveras County Government is to provide service, infrastructure, leadership, and vision necessary to advance a safe community, maintain a high quality of life, while preserving local history and culture, and to protect personal liberties for all of its citizens.
Pursuant to Government Code 65009, a legal challenge to any of the
projects described below may be limited to addressing only those issues
raised at the public hearing or in written correspondence delivered to the
Planning Commission at or prior to the public hearing.
Application(s), environmental documents, staff reports, and project files are available for review at the Calaveras County Community Development Agency, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except County holidays.
Copies of the project file, staff report, and/or environmental documents may also be purchased. Staff reports for each item will be available for public review posted to the County’s website at www.co.calaveras.us.ca.
Planning Commission decisions can be appealed to the Board of Supervisors. Appealsmust be filed with the Board Clerk within fifteen (15) days of this hearing. For more information, contact the Board Clerk's Office At 209-754-6370.
The commission may adjourn for lunch at 11:30 a.m.

E. PUBLIC HEARINGS:
1. 2004-169 Extension of Time for Development Agreement for Saddle Creek
(Calaveras Country Club). The applicant is requesting approval of an
extension of time to allow up to 10 (ten) years additional time to complete
the development agreement for the Saddle Creek (Calaveras Country
Club) subdivision. The purpose of the extension is to allow the developer
additional time to complete the obligations set forth in the Development
Agreement. Saddle Creek Subdivision is located in the southwestern
portion of Calaveras County in Copperopolis, Section 22, 23 & 27, T1N,
R12E, MDM.

2. 2005-191General Plan Amendment, Zoning Amendment, Tentative
Subdivision Tract Map for Ventana LLC. The applicant is requesting a
San Andreas Community Plan Amendment to change 12.74± acres,
(APN’s: 044-011-45, 46, 53, 54, 55 & 56), from Multi-Family Residential, to
the land use designation of Two Family Residential. Concurrently
requested is a Zoning Amendment from R3 (Multi-Family Residential) to
R2 (Two-Family Residential) for 12.74± acres. Also requested is approval
of a Tentative Subdivision Tract Map to divide the property, about 12.74±
acres into 50 Lots. The property is located on Pope Street between West
Murray Creek and Lewis Avenue. (Item continued from September 4,
2008 and will be continued to October 16th, 2008).

The Calaveras Children's Repertory Theatre presents the wonderful musical "The Music Man!" A cast of over 40 aspiring young actors and actresses are ready to entertain the public on opening night, October 2nd at 6:30 pm and Friday October 3rd at 7:00pm in San Andreas.
