Angels Camp, CA...St. Patrick's Parish in Angels Camp is having a Corvette Raffle or $30,000. Tickets are $100 and only 800 will be sold. The funds collected are to benefit the parish in many endeavors. This Sunday the Last Chance Corvette Raffle Drawing, Wine and Cheese Event is being held August 7th. Don't wait the lucky ticket for a new Corvette may be yours!! Tickets can be purchased at the rectory office or call 736-4575. Update...They now have less than less that 100 tickets left!! Calaveras Big Trees State Park, CA..... Calaveras Big Trees Association will host the annual Family Day celebration at the park on Saturday, August 20th. Events include demonstration booths, crafts, carriage rides, storytelling, demonstrations of native cultures, music and outdoor activities beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m. .....

The Ebbetts Pass Scenic Byway Association will be hosting our 4th Annual Scenic Celebration on September 10th from 11 am to 5 pm. We invite you to come "Play on the Pass with us from Arnold to Markleevile. The centerpiece of the event is "Hermitfest," a day long, solar powered, free concert featuring The Tour Guides, Bill Welles, Cantanamos, Grover Anderson and more at Hermit Valley on Highway 4. There will be food, raffle tickets, beverages and souvenirs available for sale and free activities for the kids.....

Unfortunately, we are left with no choice but to remove garbage cans from White Pines Park. Household garbage and trash have inundated the volunteers and we do not and should not have to ask them to clean up after those people who do not have respect for our beautiful, community Park. We ask you to take your picnic trash home with you but we will still accept recycling, which is a funding source for the Park. All else is still in place and we look forward to your use of the grounds as you ....

We will have 8 kittens anxiously awaitng your adoption. All are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested (neg.), litter trained and are current on their shots. Each adoption includes a FREE health check with a Calaveras Co. vet! To help offset some expenses we ask a $50 donation for each, or 2 for $80! You won't be able to resist these loving little fur balls!

Men of Worth Closes Free Music in the Parks in Arnold

Arnold, CA...Calaveras and foothill favorites, Men of Worth, help the Calaveras Arts Council close their 20th year of free Music in the Parks summer series. Cedar Center in Arnold is the setting for the August 17 performance. Music begins at 6:30pm and ends at 8:pm. Come early and bring your low back chairs, picnic dinner and enjoy the close of summer with these fine Celtic musicians and story tellers amongst your family and friends.....

Ebbetts Pass Moose Lodge 1123 Helping Our Community

The 2011 Dick Heisinger Memorial Golf Tournament was another success for the Ebbetts Pass Moose Lodge 1123. Thanks to everyone who helped or participated in this event. Businesses and individuals sponsored tees and holes and donated raffle prizes for this event. It raised $12,345.56 for the Visiting Nurse Association of the Mother Lode
Hospice of the Sierra. These funds are dedicated for Calaveras County.....
