Sonora High Sports Team Coordinator & Coach Arrested on Sexual Abuse Charges

Sonora, CA...This afternoon a staff member from a Tuolumne County School was arrested as a result of a recent investigation into a sexual abuse allegation. The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office was notified of possible sexual abuse between a staff member and student at Sonora High School. The sexual abuse was reported to have begun when the student was 15-years-old. The suspect, 42-year-old Amy Denise Emerald, is a staff member who serves as a sports team coordinator and coach. The victim... was a former student and player. Detectives notified the Sonora High School Superintendent regarding the allegations and investigation to ensure the safety of students. An investigation was conducted, and it was determined there was enough evidence for an arrest.

The 2019 Columbia Big Band Street Dance Had Columbia Swinging on Saturday Night

Columbia, CA...Columbia was filled with celebrants who put on their dancing shoes to enjoy a night of swing music in Columbia State Historic Park! Some were dressed in everday clothes, or many came decked out in their snazziest 1940s outfits. Either way they had a blast moving to the music of the Columbia College Kicks Big Band. Prizes were awarded for best '40s outfit, best dancing couples, and much more. We have photos and video to help you step back into the 1940s and put on your dancing shoes to boogie down to the music of Rod Harris and his orchestra. A Dispute Between Neighbors Ends with a BB Gun Shooting & Arrest

Sonora, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Office..."On Wednesday morning, our office received a 911 call from a man reporting his neighbor had shot him in the face with a BB gun. Deputies and medical personnel responded to the man’s home on Columbia River Dr. in Sonora and learned that 62-year-old Ronald Easton shot at his neighbor twice, striking him once above his eye. Easton admitted the two men have had conflicts in the past and he shot him with a BB gun. The victim was transported to Adventist Health for treatment where he suffered a sinus fracture.

Modesto Man Arrested on DUI & Other Charges after Early Morning High Speed Chase

Jamestown, CA...On July 19, 2019, at approximately 2:30am, CHP officers were advised to be on the look-out for a white Chevrolet Camaro that was driving recklessly on eastbound State Route 108 at the Yosemite Junction. Approximately 10 minutes later, a CHP unit located the vehicle traveling northbound on State Route 49 near Fifth Avenue at a high rate of speed. The CHP unit attempted to make an enforcement stop on the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro that was being driven by Jose Miguel Lopez, a 28-year-old male out of Modesto. Mr. Lopez failed to comply and accelerated to speeds over 100 miles per hour.
