Angels Camp, CA...Sharon McCarthy Memorial- Clayton Hart’s Senior Project will be held on Saturday, April 9th. It will starts at 6:30 at the Bret Harte Theater Featuring local musicians. $3.00 for adults. $2.00 for children and seniors. All proceeds go to the Bret Harte Music Department..

New Angels Camp Commemorative Committee Formed to Plan Four Years of City Anniversaries

Angels Camp, CA.....A new committee has been formed to plan celebrations and activities to help the city of Angels Camp celebrate major anniversaries coming up in the 2012-2015 period. The Angels Camp Commemorative Committee, chaired by Michele Perreault, is first working on plans to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the City’s incorporation in 2012 with events now being planned for the May through October period and the main event taking place the weekend of September 29-30, 2012......

Valley Springs, CA...On May 17th Stage 3 of the Amgen Tour which runs from - Auburn to Modesto will have Calaveras County become the center of the cycling world for about an hour. Hundreds of the best cyclists in the world will come charging down Comanche Parkway then proceed down Burson Road and fly down Milton Road on their way to Oakdale.....

Angels Camp, CA....Bishop JOSEPH will make an ecumenical visit to St. Gabriel Orthodox Church at 1538 Vallecito Road in Angels Camp this Saturday, April 1st. Orthros (Morning Prayer) begins at 9 am. Hierarchical Divine Liturgy (Saturday of the Souls in honor of the departed) will be celebrated at 10am. Luncheon to follow. Clergy to attend: Bishop JOSEPH, Diocese of Los Angeles and the West, Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America.....
