Fire Update...Vegetation Fire in Arnold Area...Great Work Crews!!!

Posted by: John_Hamilton on 08/23/2011 03:38 PM
Arnold, CA...A 1/2 acre vegetation fire was quickly contained on Russell in the Arnold area. Good work everyone!! Update as of 4:52pm...We went on scene to get a few shots of this 1/2 acre fire that is still under investigation. This fire was in a bad spot and if it would have gotten up ahead of steam it could have rolled right up the hill into the Grizzly Ridge Subdivision. Great work again by the EPFD and CAL-Fire crews working this fire. Their quick work kept this into a small fire but if this one had had room to breath this could have been a very different story..

Music In The Parks Ends Great Summer Run ~By John Hamilton

Posted by: John_Hamilton on 08/22/2011 11:13 AM
Arnold, CA...Last Wednesday night the Calaveras Arts Council's rolling musical road show made a stop in Cedar Center in Arnold to close out another very successful run for 2011. Throughout the summer each week took them to another great venue in Calaveras County. With the wonderful sounds of "Men of Worth" filling the air and Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital was on hand for health screenings and healthy out reach. I even had my blood pressure checked and was pleasantly supprised to find out is still had any. Thanks again to the Calaveras Arts Council for this great program that adds so much to the communities it visits each week. Pictures are below and video is enclosed...
