The average child in America gets less then 15 minutes of vigorous exercise a day and less then 43 min of moderate exercise a day. And 30% of youth(10-19) have negative attitudes towards physical education. The decline in health and the increase in obesity is very concerning. When we see this....

Dear Community Member,

We are very pleased to present our 2nd annual full-page picture of what we have accomplished in the past fiscal year. We were once again amazed by the volume and quality of these activities!

Providing the best health care available is our mission, so we established a goal that our patients will want to return for their future health care needs, and they would recommend us to family and friends. This goal starts with our employees, so we invested successfully in recruitment, retention, and development. They truly live their lives on purpose! We remind ourselves daily about patient care and safety and our focus has seen positive results in Patient Satisfaction, Medication Safety, Surgical Infection Prevention and Core Measures. We were acknowledged nationally for exceeding patient’s
expectations....

Plenty of Big Reasons To Visit Alpine County~ By Robert Ehlert

Posted by: Kim_Hamilton on 09/14/2009 11:50 AM
Alpine County’s 1,200 residents make it the smallest county population-wise in the State of California. Somewhere around 94 percent of its land mass is under government jurisdiction. Of that 94 percent, some 55 percent is designated as wilderness. So that means only 6 percent of the county’s 726 square miles is owned privately.....

Posted by: thepinetree on 09/13/2009 10:49 PM
Bear Valley, CA...The 2nd Annual Bear Valley Soap Box Derby rolled into action last weekend as hundreds of derby'ers climbed into their sleds and raced down the streets of Bear Valley. At mid-afternoon they already had over 170 signed up the annual post race dinner. The annual event is a fundraiser for the Bear Valley Parents Club and the proceeds help fund youth activities in the Bear Valley Area...
