Calaveras County, CA...A series of open houses/community workshops has been scheduled by the County to provide information on the draft General Plan. Staff and consultants will be available to answer questions on the draft general plan, review the draft land use map, and assist citizens in identifying land use designations for their property. In December, our businesses created 240,000 new jobs. The unemployment rate fell to 5.6%. That means that 2014 was the strongest year for job growth since the 1990s. In 2014, unemployment fell faster than it has in three decades.

Today, Members of the California State Board of Equalization (BOE), the nation’s only elected state tax board, begin new four-year terms of office in districts that have been renumbered and redefined by boundary changes. In 2011, the California Citizens Redistricting Commission drew new district boundaries for the Assembly, Senate, BOE, and Congress based upon 2010 federal census data. The new boundaries for the BOE districts became effective January 1, 2015.... |

San Andreas, CA...December 16 2014 the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to adopt a resolution dedicating 6.93 acres of Calaveras County owned property for development of the Calaveras County Animal Services. This acreage will be leased to the Calaveras Humane Society to design and fund a New Animal Shelter....
