Local Company Supports Firefighters

Sonora, California. Golden State Cellular recently presented the City of Angels Camp Fire Department with a check for $500. The check resulted from a program offered to customers allowing them to donate to a Firefighter Fund. Golden State then matched the customer’s contribution .Additional contributions will be made to Firefighting programs in Alpine, Amador, Mariposa and Tuolumne Counties. Gary Burns of the City of Angels (shown below accepting the check) said that the $500 would be used to purchase equipment for their new engine...

Columbia College Celebrates 39th Commencement Ceremony

Columbia, CA....Columbia College will hold its 39th Commencement on Friday, April 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the Oak Pavilion. A reception for the 192 graduates, their families, friends and guests will be held immediately after the ceremony in Carkeet Park next to the pavilion. Among the graduating class, 140 associate in arts degrees were earned, 67 associate in science degrees, 12 associate in science (occupational education) degrees, and 110 certificates of achievement. A total of 22 will graduate with distinction (cumulative grade point averages of 3.75 or better) and 10 with honors (between 3.5 and 3.74 grade point averages).....

Twain Harte Temporary Issuance Location

San Andreas, CA... Due to the construction of the new CAL FIRE Twain Harte fire station, CAL FIRE will be issuing dooryard burn permits, evacuation plans, fire safety education materials, and fire hazard self inspection notices at the Twain Harte Chamber of Commerce. The address is 22997 Joaquin Gully Road in downtown Twain Harte. Permits will be available at the Chamber location starting Thursday, May 1st running through Monday, May 12th between the hours of 8:00AM and 5:00PM.

The new hires will be added to our sales department team located in Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties. Since the first of the year Golden State Cellular have added a total of 11 new employees to staff their growing operation and are currently interviewing for vacancies in their engineering and outside sales departments...
