There Is A New Ore Cart In Town~A Video Chat with John Hamilton |

Valley Springs, CA...Hwy 26 now has it's very own Calaveras County Ore Cart. This is the latest in the continued efforts of the Chamber of Commerce to mark every entrance into the county with a Beautiful and Iconic Ore Cart. The cart which was built by Angels Sheet Metal and dropped into place yesterday morning still needs to have the finishing touches put in place but all of the "Heavy Lifting" has been done.

Valley Springs, CA...The latest place to eat in Valley Springs opened on Wednesday! This is the sixth restaurant for the Auburn based group that also has the Sonora, Angels Camp, Jackson, Auburn and Loomis stores. It is a beautiful new facility. The new Taco Bell was packed when we stopped by yesterday. One interesting note...

Angels Camp, CA...Yesterday was the second in a series of Economic Committee Meetings leading up to a County Wide Economic Summit in late June. A dozen or so Government & Business leaders met again at the County Government Center for over 2 hours planning and prioritizing items to focus on. Parolee Arrested on Drug Charges |

Valley Springs, CA...On April 8, 2008, at approximately 2:15pm, Sheriff's Detectives and members of the Narcotics Team received information that a parolee at large was in the Valley Springs area. Detectives identified the suspect and attempted to contact the parole agent, and the suspect fled on a BMX style bicycle. After a short chase the suspect crashed his bicycle. | Copperopolis, CA...A single vehicle rollover accident on Hwy 4 over the weekend sent a Stockton Woman to Mark Twain St. Josephs with an injured hand. A 20 year old Stockton resident lost control of her vehicle and it overturned causing the injury. The CHP release is enclosed... |
