Complete Jesus Maria Road Closure Scheduled for Early March |

Mokelumne Hill, CA...Complete Road Closure on Jesus Maria Road, Mokelumne Hill From 14499 Jesus Maria Rd to 15499 Jesus Maria Rd March 2 – March 3, 2020 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This scheduled road closure of Jesus Maria Road from 14499 Jesus Maria Road to 15499 Jesus Maria Road is taking place for the replacement of four culverts. Emergency vehicles and residents who live in the construction area will be granted access as needed.

Mountain Ranch, CA...In 1950, we started out as a family operation with Erich’s father and mother, August and Freida Sender, in a century-old adobe building. The upstairs was home to the Sender family, and the first floor included groceries, a meat market, a bar, and a small eating place called Opa’s Smokehouse. On Christmas morning in 1968, the old store was destroyed by fire. But in June 1969, Sender’s Market, Inc. was opened. Since that time, there have been many changes, including remodeling, expansion, and the addition of many employees. That’s also when we added the truss plant and purchased Sender’s Market Ace Hardware in Valley Springs. Today, we're still family owned and still working hard to stock everything from pantry essentials to power tools. Whether you've got questions about the perfect cut of meat or the right kind of paint, our helpful, knowledgeable staff has you covered.

Prescribed Fire Fuels Reduction Burn in West Point Area Starting February 20th |

San Andreas, CA...The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is conducting a prescribed burning operation on the Winton-Schaad Vegetation Management Plan (VMP) site. This project is in the north-eastern portion of Calaveras County, four miles north of Wilseyville in the vicinity of Winton Road, Schaads Road and Bailey Ridge Road. Smoke may be visible in the area during the prescribed burn. This prescribed burn is designed to reduce forest fuels in strategic locations within the project area.
